What is Tixel®
Tixel® is a highly customizable fractional skin resurfacing device that provides anti-aging improvements to skin tone and texture. Treatments can be performed on multiple body areas, including the face, neck and décolleté. This non-invasive, lunch-time treatment only requires a few short sessions and delivers radiant, more youthful results!
How Does Tixel® Work?
Tixel® is the only fractional skin resurfacing device to transfer thermal energy directly to skin via conduction (the most effective form of heat transfer). When this heat is applied to skin by a medical grade in situ self-disinfecting titanium tip, it triggers the natural healing and skin rejuvenation processes. Skin rejuvenation occurs through the stimulation of new collagen production, which in turn tightens the skin.
What does Tixel® Treat?
Tixel® skin resurfacing can improve acne & acne scarring, wrinkles & fine lines, rosacea, stretch marks, hyperpigmentation, melasma, and skin tone & texture. During your consultation, Fine Line Medical Aesthetics Owner and provider, Christy Lantz MSN, CRNP will determine if skin resurfacing treatments are right for you. With a custom treatment plan in place, you’ll be able to get the look you’ve always wanted!

What to Expect with Tixel® Treatments
During Tixel® treatments, we will ensure that you feel as comfortable as possible. The Tixel® machine has a handheld device that we will use to pass over the predetermined treatment areas of the body for a fraction of a second. In this fraction of a second, short bursts of heat will be applied to the skin until the whole treatment area has been covered. Treatments usually last 30-60 minutes.
The number of treatments you’ll need depends on your individual skin concerns. we can use full Ablative treatments to achieve faster results than Medium Ablative treatments. Some patients may see results after just one treatment; however, a course of 3-6 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart is often recommended to achieve ideal results. Maintenance treatments can then be provided every 6 or 12 months thereafter.
