How many treatments do I need?

The number of sessions needed varies based on the specific condition and treatment area. While some patients experience results immediately after the first session, others might need a series of treatments to achieve their desired outcome.

How long do treatments take /what can I expect afterwards?

The duration of our treatments varies based on individual needs. The specific details are best discussed during your complimentary consultation. Based on the treatment area and size, a session can range from 5-20 minutes. After treatment, patients may experience mild redness and swelling but they can immediately return to normal activities. Redness can be covered with light makeup if desired.

Do patients experience discomfort during their treatment ?

While some patients might experience mild discomfort during the procedure, the sensation largely depends on their individual skin type, sensitivity, and the specific area undergoing treatment. To enhance patient comfort, Clarity II incorporates Temperature Sensing and advanced Skin Cooling with ICD technology.

How does Laser Hair Removal work?

The laser targets the dark pigment (melanin) in the hair and follicle, damaging it which  prevents, delays and/or reduces further hair growth. Hair grows in 3 different cycles, which is why hair removal and reduction requires multiple treatments to ensure the hair is treated during the proper phase.

Individual skin type, hair color, and texture, as well as genetic factors, influence the results and the required number of sessions.

Our experienced laser operators at Fine Line Medical Aesthetics will be able to determine the appropriate treatment plan and laser settings.

Does Laser Hair Removal Work With All Hair Types and Hair Colors?

Lasers target melanin (dark pigment in skin/hair), so hair that has little to no melanin, such as blond, red, gray or white hairs and peach fuzzy hair is less likely to be affected by the treatment. Optimal treatment areas are those in which the hair is dark and thick. With a variety of laser wavelengths and settings, the experienced practitioners at Fine Line Medical Aesthetics can effectively treat a broad range of hair types and colors. However, results vary depending on the individual body areas treated.

What Type of Laser is Used?

Fine Line Medical Aesthetics uses the most advanced laser technology available today- the FDA approved Lutronic Clarity II. This  laser  includes a dual wavelength. The Nd:Yag laser is typically safer for olive and darker skin tones, while the Alexandrite laser is suitable for lighter skin tones.
Our top-of-the-line laser is directly purchased from the manufacturer to ensure superior quality and safety.

Intelletone (™) Laser Toning Facial

Laser toning employs thousands of pulses of Nd:YAG laser light energy of the Clarity II™ to  improve the appearance of the skin in both the short and long term. The treatment results in instant rejuvenation of the face, neck, hands and décolleté by plumping, smoothing and clarifying.  Laser Toning also promotes sub-dermal collagen production so that skin texture, color and tone continue to improve long after treatment. Monthly laser toning can diminish surface flaws like wrinkles, brown spots, freckles, or imperfections caused by conditions like acne and rosacea.  Laser toning is painless, though patients may experience mild heat sensation as the laser wand passes over the skin. The laser toning facial is followed by application of SkinCeuticals (™) nourishing phytocorrective mask, making it the perfect treatment when you want something effective with NO downtime.

Laser toning indication includes but are not limited to:

    • Builds new collagen

    • Reduce hyperpigmentation, dark spots, age spots, and/or sun damage

    • Smoothens texture of the skin

    • Reduce redness

    • Reduce uneven skin tone

    • Reduce and improve acne and acne scars

    • Reduce fine lines and wrinkles

This treatment is a patient favorite, as skin has a beautiful glow to it after a single treatment. No swelling or bruising makes this a perfect treatment anytime- no matter what is going on in your life.  As with any laser procedure, be sure to follow treatment with adequate sun protection.

Tixel®

Tixel® skin resurfacing can greatly improve acne & acne scarring, wrinkles & fine lines, rosacea, stretch marks, hyperpigmentation, melasma, and skin tone & texture. Because of it’s quick and non-invasive features it is the perfect way to restore your skin!

What is Tixel®

Tixel® is a highly customizable fractional skin resurfacing device that provides anti-aging improvements to skin tone and texture. Treatments can be performed on multiple body areas, including the face, neck and décolleté. This non-invasive, lunch-time treatment only requires a few short sessions and delivers radiant, more youthful results!

How Does Tixel® Work?

Tixel® is the only fractional skin resurfacing device to transfer thermal energy directly to skin via conduction (the most effective form of heat transfer). When this heat is applied to skin by a medical grade in situ self-disinfecting titanium tip, it triggers the natural healing and skin rejuvenation processes. Skin rejuvenation occurs through the stimulation of new collagen production, which in turn tightens the skin.

What does Tixel® Treat?

Tixel® skin resurfacing can improve acne & acne scarring, wrinkles & fine lines, rosacea, stretch marks, hyperpigmentation, melasma, and skin tone & texture. During your consultation, Fine Line Medical Aesthetics Owner and provider, Christy Lantz MSN, CRNP will determine if skin resurfacing treatments are right for you. With a custom treatment plan in place, you’ll be able to get the look you’ve always wanted!

What to Expect with Tixel® Treatments

During Tixel® treatments, we will ensure that you feel as comfortable as possible. The Tixel® machine has a handheld device that we will use to pass over the predetermined treatment areas of the body for a fraction of a second. In this fraction of a second, short bursts of heat will be applied to the skin until the whole treatment area has been covered. Treatments usually last 30-60 minutes.

The number of treatments you’ll need depends on your individual skin concerns. we can use full Ablative treatments to achieve faster results than Medium Ablative treatments. Some patients may see results after just one treatment; however, a course of 3-6 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart is often recommended to achieve ideal results. Maintenance treatments can then be provided every 6 or 12 months thereafter.
